Upgrading to TD Basic v 2.0

In order to take advantage of the latest free features, you will need to be using at least TD Basic v 2.0. This upgrade authorises Teacher Dashboard to use the Office 365 API which means that we can integrate much more deeply with the applications that are available across the Office 365 suite of products.

NOTE: If you have not upgraded by the end of August, you will no longer be able to use the Teacher Dashboard Application until you have completed the upgrade.

How to upgrade

You will need to be both a Teacher Dashboard Administrator, as well as a Tenant Administrator. The Tenant Administrator is usually the person who can perform actions like: adding and deleting users, downloading and installing applications, etc.

Step 1

You must log into Office 365, and click on the Teacher Dashboard icon to log into TD. From here, click on the Admin menu link and select the Subscription tab under settings.

Step 2

On the upgrade screen you need to select the option "I'm the 'Tenant Administrator' for this tenant" in order to continue. If you do not have the correct permissions, you can select the second option and email your IT department to ask them to complete the upgrade for you.

Step 3

Now you will be asked to confirm giving Teacher Dashboard a number of permissions. You will need to click 'Accept' as these are required in order to use the basic functionality in TD Basic. Please see our FAQ section for more information about security within Teacher Dashboard.
